I believe the 4.0 RS redline is still 8500. Peak power is at 8250.
3.8 RS redline also 8500, peak power (450hp) at 7900 rpm.
Max torque (460Nm) is at 5750, up from 430Nm in the 3.8 at a higher 6750 rpm.

The car is 10kg lighter, 11% more power, 7% more torque.

Same gearing.

Wider, stronger power band, more "area under the curve."

At least, that's what I think. IIRC.
