Default Well, I did it....

After constant peer pressure, and the need to further embarrass Deputydog95, I finally convinced myself to purchase a 997.2 GT3. Credit to Mike at Bert Smith for getting me out of my lease, and into a GT3. Really made the transaction easy....

Car is equipped with PCCB, DCL, NAV, and its CPO'ed, with the odo at 13k.

Now, for the fun stuff. I am looking to part ways with the entire PCCB system and into an aftermarket kit. Ive been looking at Stop Techs.

Also, want to get a Bypass pipe with larger tips, so any suggestions?

Niko

Don't mess with stop tech. I had it, not bad stuff but what Peter and I just put on from PFC works with stock pccb calipers too

Orbit has a 997.2 pccb car he has changed to PFC steel

Less cost, uses stock pads

So far I am real happy with PFC08

Minimal pad beveling

Randy,

So your back to PCCB calipers? Or are you using PFC rotors with the stop tech rotors?

I have Porsche Calipers, PFC front rotors, stock Porsche rear rotors

PFC08 pads

You are fine with your yellow Porsche calipers. Orbit can set you up with steel rotors (OEM Porsche rear and PFC front)

Run whatever stock pad you see fit

Oh wow. I always thought you were running Stop Tech's on the RS. Didnt know you switched back. I'll look into the PFC rotors, or maybe just convert the system to the regular GT3 steel kit down the road.

Congrats!

Sharkwerks, X-pipe, and GMG all offer larger tips for their bypass.

I have sharkwerks and love it. The cool thing about sharkwerks is that you can use different kinds of tips, custom ones, or even re-use the stock tips... and that Alex was great to work with. The X-pipe and GMG have large tips that are integral to the bypass pipes so can't re-use stock tips or swap in custom ones, and it will also be trickier to install some kind of silencing device if you were to visit a track with sound restrictions on the X-pipe and GMG bypass.

Thanks Larry!

About the bypass. Talked with Alex at Sharkwerks, and leaning towards it. My only concern is I kind of like how when looking at the rear, the other brands show just the pipes and tips. With Sharkwerks, you can see the bolts for the tips that attach to the bypass piping. Maybe I am being picky, but talked with my buddy and he kind of agreed.

Funny you said that. Deputydog spoke VERY highly of him. I need to get it done asap. Looking at doing the hood, bumper, side mirrors. Havent decided on the front fenders.
