Best time at the GGR time trial, held in May this year, from our group was from ArcticGT3's 997.1 RS on HoHos. He turned a 2:07. The track is in pretty bad shape and in desperate need of repaving.

PCA-GGR region runs config #1 CW with the shorter T2. That includes Star Mazda and is a noticably longer configuration. Also, there are 2 distinctly different T2's at BW and like the bi-pass at T-Hill they're worth about 2 seconds. As I said in your first thread, your car with good rubber should turn around 2:00-2:03 depending....

Here's my in-car from a NASA race in April running 13CW with the shorter T2:

I was just curious what GT3's are running there...would love to hear some more times.

I just went and it was near 100 degrees out, car read 107 actually.

I have a C63 now, I ran 2:12 on stock continental contact 3 street tires. Is that a crap time or somewhat ok?

Here is what my daily driven street Mini has done. Granted it has my 1.8L Stroker with a custom Rotrex kit we made . It is a full weight street car. Like an idiot I changed the idler pulley before going to the track and we had belt alignment issues which caused us to destroy belts and the car was down about 30hp. We never got a clean lap all day long but I think the car will go 1:53 once everything is sorted.

This was the first time the car has been to this track with this configuration so with the suspension adjustments we have done the car should be even more hooked up. This is the only FWD street car to have ever broken 2min at CCW13. It was driven to and from the track too

I still prefer a GT3

it's fun though to make something shaped like a brick to go fast!

I do enjoy tuning the porsche's though a much superior car in every right

Bumping this thread as i'm curious what are benchmark times at Buttonwillow CW#13 after the repaving in 2014.

I just started going to track days 2 years ago, mostly at Buttonwillow. At my fourth visit there, I managed to get a 2:05 in drizzling conditions. I think there's at least a couple of more seconds to be gained.

Car: Stock 981 Cayman S (PDK).

Completely stock off the lot including brake pads/lines, suspension and tires. I'm using the Goodyear F1 Eagle Asymmetric IIs.

I ran a 1:52 in my RS with R6s back in Nov 2014. I'm going out there with my GT4 this Sunday with Speed District and hoping to get into the 1:55s.

I think the repaving has knocked down times by around 2 seconds 13CW.

Anything in the lower 1:50s in 13CW or higher 1:50s 1CW is quick
I'm not that fast, best in 13 for me is a 2:00
in 1cw (not the A configs) is a 2:05

The exit of cotton corners, the bus stop, and riverside to phil hill scare me, and you HAVE to be fast there to get a respectable lap time. If I lay my laps over USC's he pulls me several seconds in that sequence, we are about even everywhere else. So mental block to work on!

I was telling Spyerx that you were going to be there. Our cars are pretty even, feel free to use me as your rabbit. We'll see you there...look for the white GT4 and the red antique pictured above.

I was just there on Friday, Jan 6. My buddy was doing 1:58s in his stock 991 GT3. He did have a new set of Trafeo Rs on it and had an alignment job done though i don't know the settings. Our friend who was with us (he drives a 458 special) and used to race Porsche Cup Cars professionally was able to jump in and do 1:52s with only 3 or 4 hot laps. He was doing about the same in his Ferrari. Maybe a half second quicker.

It was perfect day. The track was clean and dry after several days of rain. I was in the 50 most of the day. I took the track most of the morning to "rubber in" since there were not very many of us on the track. It was a fun day.
