Paul sorry to hear. That is quite an ordeal you both had. I just spent two weeks in the hospital with my son. Its so tough to see your children in pain or hurt. It will get better! thanks for sharing.

Paul, Same goes for me.
I have a 10 month old baby girl and my biggest fears in life revolve around her safety. So my heart was crying during your story. I could feel the emotion of the story vividly.
I was very glad to hear about your son waking up and am hopeful that he and your back get better soon.

So sorry to read about your son, our prayers are with him. Almost three years ago one of our grandson's (just before his 6th birthday) had to undergo brain surgery for a growth that was found, so I understand to a degree what you are going through. By the way our grandson is back to being a normal nine year old. Fortunately youngsters heal better. I wish you and your family the best.

Sorry to hear about your son. The post concussion headache can be absolutely terrible and its no wonder he broke in to get your pills. Judgement can be impaired in a situation like that.
You are right, the health system is broken. Run hard like a business it many times forgets what people go through during illness.
I hope your son has a speedy recovery.

Our prayers are with you. Pcar or not, that's of no import compared to your son and your health.
Wishing both of you a speedy recovery.

Sean is my sons name.
Good news from my wife, today was a stellar improvement day. According to her, and I talked to my son on the phone, she said he is pretty much back to being the 16 year old goof ball he was before. He sounded completely normal on the phone. He wants me to bring him his phone from the Condo. He wants to bring him some gatoraide and some Hot Links. 4 days ago he was being fed by a tube.
My wife said the only thing now is his walking is hard for him. Balance of his upper trunk. He told me his legs were "retarded". He can text on a phone that doesnt have a QWERT keyboard so that tells me his fine motor skills are rapidly returning. We are a very lucky family.
But being HERE sucks instead of being there with them.
BTW I was surprised how badly the economy has hurt Reno. It looks no more than Winnemucca did 10 years ago.

I'm sorry to hear about your son. Hopefully he makes a speedy recovery and everything goes back to normal.
My cousins moved to the USA from Canada and the biggest thing they complain about is the health care system. I hope the situation improves on your side of the boarder.
Thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
