I've got a couple of events coming up and was wondering where those of you who have their car numbers displayed on their windows ordered from. I've used the standard 8" display on the doors, but they are a PITA to remove and reapply for every event so I'm looking for something I can just leave on. Thanks for the help!

i picked up some 8" numbers from the sign shop in orange, nice contrast with speed yellow. stuck them to a plexiglass triangle the same shape as the interior of the rear windows and use the EZ pass velcro to attach and detach when necessary. works like a charm.

I tried fastsigns but their level of expertise (Redwood City) seemed vaguely off -- it was as if I'd asked for something difficult and their quote was literally three times as expensive as the last set of numbers I had printed.
I also got totally ripped off by ebuysigns, so avoid them like the plague.
I had some halfway decent numbers from http://www.autocrossnumbers.com/ but they no longer return emails, so I'm guessing they're out of business ... or they should be.
I had really good price and service with quick turnaround for simple stuff from

(they do all kinds of materials, vinyl, etc.)
I've bought complex stuff from Lyle at Vinyl Styles

It's an excellent one-man entrepreneurial operation -- he enjoys graphic design work, so he started a business and he has earned a strong following in the SF Bay Area.
