You don't need a dealership (save receipts for the items you purchase). All you need is the "search" function.

Send a sample of your used oil to a place like Blackstone Labs, and establish your baseline.

Of course you can.
Do a search in the 996 GT forum and in the DIY section.

Here is the procedure for the 2010GT3 cars together with the torque values.

Draining engine oil
Information

To fill in the correct quantity of oil after draining the old oil, allow a dripping time of approx. 20 minutes.
Dispose of waste oil in accordance with legal requirements in your country.

WARNING

Hot fluid
Danger of scalding
→ Let the fluid cool down.
→ Wear personal protective gear.

Information

Drain the engine oil when the engine is still warm (not hot!).

1. Unscrew the oil drain plug on the crankcase and drain the engine oil.

Just ordered an oil filter set from Suncoast and was told that the kit included 3 washers (crankcase side, crankcase rear and oil tank). Does the crankcase really have 2 drains?

This is the easiest thing to do on your car. Drain the motor, the tank, replace the crush washers, the filter which is ON TOP (How easy is that??).
One tip! Loosen the filter cap BEFORE you warm the engine!! Or the cap will expand with the heat and it will be hard to get off!
