Dirty but nothing that jumps out. The white spots and dynamo rust is common for a car kept outdoors. Assuming you're considering a purchase, the important thing is the mechanical condition--a DME report and inspection on a lift.

I was just a little concerned about the pitting on the upper metal parts and am glad no one is concerned.

Drove it on a beach? Check it for salvage and/or flooding.

I know what you're referring to. These engines all come like that. First time I saw the "pitting" around the oil filter module I was scratching my head as well... literally said aloud "And this the best Weissach can do?"

At the end of the day these aren't concours cars.
