$6k is ridiculous
I would seek a 2nd opinion

Or even better, if Porsche is going to cover it, provide the parts (guard or cup) and let them cover the labor - this way you will not be revisiting this next spring :-)

To each their own however... Porsche covering it is better than nothing

Yes. Porsche will be repairing it under warranty with OEM stock parts.

so why don't you give them the OEM cup set to install? it's about 400-500EUR..

btw the labor should be about 300-400EUR.. : )

A working steel diff with decent preload. One that should have come as std my friend.

What dealer...my dealer refused too...they would not even admit that the LSD was shot, saying it was still fine and that the test I did with both wheels off the ground is not the correct way. They said the whole LSD unit has to come out of the car and PCNA will not approve this work.

good to know ... so the internals are compatible with factory .1 and .2 LSDs and could be retrofitted?
