Default Clever Owner Saves Porsche from Flood

The owner of what appears to be a rare 964 Porsche 911 saved his car from the floodwaters encroaching his or her property near Louisville, Kentucky with the help of what looks like an inflatable cushion tethered to the house.
Interesting story for Porsche Enthusiasts. While one would think you couldn't leave such a car behind, who knows what the circumstances were. Enjoy.

well, given the house looks like it was designed to deal with floods, looks like the owner may have thought about this plan beforehand. sad to see the aftermath down there. thanks for the interesting post.

Beautiful Porsche, beautiful home...and a huge tree incorporated into the build.

Pure genius!

That looks like a foundation bladder -- used for things like raising foundations in existing structure or retrofitting seismic protection, etc. It inflates under the floor joists and supports some of the weight while screw jacks raise the frame off its foundation. Brilliant. Scary as hell, I'm sure, but Porsche should send this guy some recognition for his service to humanity!

Nobel Porsche Prize!

Probably has every snake within 50 miles in that car. But better than every fish within 50 miles.

Sincerely,

Macster.
