Default RSS 930 Roll Bar

I'm looking at putting the RSS 930 Roll bar into my RHD 997.1 GT3, but have a concern about leg room. I notice that the harness bar within the unit is staggered behind the drivers seat in a LHD car. Does this create additional leg room for the driver as it's not clear in the images I have of the roll bar?

I just got one installed in my 997.1 last week.

I am 5'11" and there is no issue with legroom on either the driver's or passenger side.

Thanks Bobby Bailey.

Thats good to know, but can the drivers seat be put back further that the passenger seat due to the stagger in the harness bar within the unit. I'm concerned about this as if I order and fit this rollbar this would be on the passanger side of my car. Thus restricting leg room. Looking at the photos I have, I believe the Diagonal bar would stop the seat entering the staggerred area and therefore it makes no difference whether it's fitted to a RHD or LHD car.

In my case, I would have enough leg room on either side of the car as I have both seats slid to the same position.

I can take some photos for you if you tell me the angles you want.

If you have a right hand drive car this bar will not work.. As the bar only has provision for the driver side in left hand drive cars to move back.

This bar was originally built and designed by GMG back in 2004 and has since knocked off by several companies.

We stopped making it and improved the design with both our World Challenge bar as well as the RSR bar we now manufacture.

Both the RSR bar and the World Challenge bar offer provision to be used in either left or right hand drive cars world wide.

I'm sure you could ask Bryan or Mike at RSS to fabricate one for you in RHD. I've run their car with the bar (LHD mind you) and I have no height issues (I'm 6'1"). I personally don't like the design of the GMG bars. I think you'll struggle to find a good spot for a rollbar mounted camera.
