You HAVE to admit that the Overall Chevy Dealer experience is LIGHT YEARS ahead of the Porsche
Dealers. AND REMEMBER handing over your $100K corvette to Mr Goodwrench is MUCH more comforting than those dumb Porsche mechanics! Heck some of those VW guys dont even speak english.

i saw the car at the sema show, took a little video and pics
http://www.topspeed.com/cars/chevrol...n-ar86142.html
it is all in the details and it was the best looking corvette at the show, really clean.
but after an RS, that will be quite a change. I can't wait to hear the comparison comments

How do the Vette's carbon brakes hold up compared to Porsche PCCB? Does the Vette carbon brakes get ice mode like PCCB's?

Having had two versions of the Porsche PCCB's. and knowing thant the carbon
vette discs are from the same company as the Fcars they whould pretty similar.
The idea is not to track your Carbons HARD over a long periods. That ensures the
long life of the Carbon brakes. IF you run them hard then they are a consumable just
like a steel version. If tis occasional track events and spirited driving they should last a long time.
Its the 4 track events a month that Will kill them. I would replace them with steel keep them and them put them back on prior to sale.

The Corvette, Ferrari and Porsche CCB brakes are all manufactured by Brembo/S.G.L Corporation. It would be a fair assumption to say they all behave the same. The CCB material varies by manufacturer (so I have heard).

It's my dd so it works much better. Not wealthy enough for multiple cars.
found a 997.2 Twin Turbo PDK. In the long run you would have been much happier.
Did I mention Mr GoodWrench?

But the CCB rotors from Chevy dealer are a lot cheaper.. which makes you wonder about the mark up that Porsche has on the PCCB.
Imagine if PCCB replacement rotors are less than $1,500 each (vs. $3000+), I bet many will keep the rotors on their cars for track use. (if it is a little bit more than steel Brembo / Alcon / AP / etc. but offer longer life)

I just don't understand why Porsche even puts PCCB's on the market knowing all the issues and expense of PCCB. I guess there are those out there that will but them anyway.
