that ford gt40 replica car #8 is an absolute monster......i've been in it's run group at ec many times and it just thunders past.......
also, muston's cup car #1 has an interesting exhaust note....unusual for a cup and plain beautiful.

Yep, the GT40 is an absolute Monster and Muston was hussling all weekend.

I was only up there for the NSW Porsche Club Regularity and I didn't even know about the Prod Sports event. Next year I will be in it for sure!!

The Regularity was annoying to say the least as I wasn't allowed to go under 2.40 which was so difficult, on the last day, I ended up getting kicked off the track for going too fast.

So basically my runs consisted of flying up the mountain and crusing down conrod. As a matter of fact the lap that got me ejected I did a 2.36 whilst doing 193kh as a top speed down conrod very painful!

When I checked my data for different sectors, I was consistently doing 2.23 - 2.26 taking into account 4 different parts of the track driven at different speeds.

I'm hooked on Bathurst and can't wait to go back next year for a real dip!

any drive at bathurst would be a great experience, especially in a cup!
even though the regularity rules are strict, still good fun to get all the clubs up there at the same time.
great weather too - it rained the 2nd half of the weekend here.

The Ford logo looks very much like the Bentley wings logo -- at a glance, I assumed it was a Bentley or Aston.

Video/audio of the exhaust would be interesting -- what is an "unusual" note for a Cup?

That has to be a Hybrid, right? Everything painted lurid green is a hybrid now.

that logo looks like the bentley logo, but it's actually an '8' instead of a 'b'. they copied bentley, but it means something else, can't remember. it's a 'roaring forties gt40' driven by iain pretty. it is a missile.....
we missed one or 2 years of carrera cup here due to the financial hiccup, so alot of cars started running in this production class, which means restrictions were looser. i've heard many cups which sound the same, but this one just doesn't. it sounds alot meatier, don't know if it's the intake or the exhaust, but it sure sounds the goods.

Yes it was truly amazing to drive Bathurst.

The circuit really suits my driving style as it is fast and flowing, I can't wait to go back.

I am just checking the GT Champ "Challenge" entry for this years Bathurst.

This I would love to do!

Great to see you held onto the cup car Aaron! And your driving ain't too shabby if you're predictively getting into the low 2.20s... Awesome job...
