There was no craziness. It was a nice calm and controlled pace

and this eloquently sums up why sometimes it's a better bet to have a capable street/track car rather than a cup car.

We have so many mountain areas to travel, on any weekend doing 150-200miles of stuff like that is normal. (In fact I'm running with the Lotus monthly drive on Saturday for some NorthEast roads......will be about 280miles as I've figured in my directions)

No two turns are the same..............gotta love it!

What a blast yesterday was.....only mishap for me was a slighly cracked windshield and the Road Block, Dave and I had to contend with after we split off in Vonore Tennessee....."We have a report of racing from a bunch of PCars" .....good thing they did not catch the freight train 10min prior from leaving the Tail...

Me and DeputyDog are not tall. We didn't qualify for the basketball team and therefore didn't get invited

Looks like an awesome gathering! I wish I could've gone as well...

Still waiting for the juicy details on the diversion...

And What are those wheels on the Red GT3 in the background?

Glad to read you had fun, and a "happy ending". Great roads for sure.

BEST Quote ever..

BTW. I'll be an equity holder in a company that has a warehouse in Seattle soon, so our paths will cross..

Yes.. The first (and hopefully last) R-List Road Block.. Others noticed it and Diverted We went right to it heading back to ATL. I thought it was simply a traffic cop... Nope. Pointed at me and the P-Car Behind me and pulled us into a parking lot which quickly filled with Cruisers...

And Yes the Freight train was China Train Speeds!
Videos will be up later today!!

WOW! Now you have my interest. What happened? What did the cops do?

Been on the TOD many times, seen many cops (and large turtles, and semi trucks), never been stopped. Thanks baby Jesus. But we keep hearing about how they are cracking down. That's why you have to visit some of the (better) other great roads in the area.

it looked like way too many lights down there for a routine traffic cop to be sitting there. big thanks to kaamacat for those awesome directions and having us turn just in time. hehe

Digging that rear view mirror picture of the officer Dave! Sounds like profiling to me!

Also looking forward to the videos. That was one hell of a day...
