Default My GT3 smells gas when the fueltank is full

I bought my GT3 a couple of months ago, its a 997.1 with few kilometers on it. I had never filled the tank up fully. Today i filled it up completely, as much as i could get in there. Now, it smells gas inside the car when i drive. i did not drive it very long, maybe 10km. but it still smelled gas when i put it in the garage. It does not leak anything under the car. Does anyone have an idea what it might be? did i put to much gas in there or what? Very thankfull for any help

Have you stripped the trunk area to see if there's any spillage?

well i don`t have time to strip the entire trunk, but i took away some of it, and i can not see or smell any gas in the runk area. But it smells a little gas in the wheelarch where the gasfiller is. Could it be that i just filled it up with to much gas and it "swelled" over?

as I recall there is in fact a drain in the fuel filler area so that if any gas is spilt it drains out of the filler area down and out around the back of the front wheel arch/liner
