RE-11 are not track tires, they are street tires. Very sticky street tires, decent in the rain too.

You're not going to set track records with RE-11.

However, any tire that is within 2 secs of my competition tire of choice (Hoosier A6 for time trials and autoX), I consider it to be a decent tire.

At Sebring the RE-11 produced a best lap of 2:24.368, with a Theoretical Best Lap of 2:23.435. Sizes 245/35 and 285/35R19. The same day on the last session, I ran A6 295/345 with a best lap of 2:22.901 with a TBL of 2:22.017. Essentially they were 0.7 secs slower per 60 secs of track time.

On day 2 at Sebring I dropped my times as a consequence of lessons learned from the Masters (Erik and Trakcar), so I was able to drive T5-T7 and T7-T10 full gas, I would have dropped my times on RE-11 as well. Using the day 2 data, and applying the lap time difference between A6 and RE-11, the RE-11 should be able to run highs 2:20s, and this is before learning to go full gas between T10 and T13, drive a better line through Bishop, and resolve T17 which is going to reduce lap times.

For a 997 GT3 or GT3 RS, I would use 255/35R19 and 305/30R19.

As long as we're talking about tires:

Thoughts on Yoko ADVAN A048?

Chance to get a killer deal on stock 6 GT3 sizing but this is not a tire that was on my radar. I promise that I will do a proper search when I get home tonight.

Thanks for the compliment. I didn't really think I wanted a RED car, but, its grown on me.

The guys at Goldcrest have a lot going on. The day I was there, there were several Cup cars there. I think 2 of them (including one which had just come off the boat from Germany) are headed for the PSDS Cup Experience at Barber Motorsports Park.

It still impresses me that Bob and Steve do all they do in the race arena and still have time to work on us street guys.

Ha, I love the Shark!!

Yeah, i know Rod and the boys are at Barber, so i am pretty sure the green and black car is there too.

This was one of their Patron cars still on the skid the night before they lettered it up, it won its first race like less than 24hours later from receiving it.

Many thanks to Bob, Steve and Adam at Goldcrest for working with me to get this done ahead of the DE at Sebring! These guys are the real deal and a pleasure to work with. As a side note, the black and white cup cars are the ones which will be used at the just announced PSDS Cup Car experience. The black one is a 2010 model and the white one is a just off the boat 2011 car. Awesome

Also, a big thanks to Alex at Sharkwerks! The sound is awesome!

Here are a few pics.
Hey Lewis, seriously our pleasure and so glad you dig it! Very neat shop they have there too!

Thank you sir... Now that the rain has gone (I hope) I'm back to driving mine again... Well what's left of the rear tires

Both of my P-cars are finally out of hibernation, it's been a long winter. I took my GT3 to Eurasia Automotive to get my Sharkwerks Centre Bypass pipe installed. Looking forward to hearing my sharky on the car, I've had it for several months but not opportunity to get it installed.
