Entertaining. Probably gets old to be in an RSR and so much faster than everything there (though some of the older turbo beasts have much more straight line acceleration, in amateur hands, who's crazy enough to try to take them to their limit on apex speeds?)

I will guess Bridgestone RE-11 in response to NJ GT's tire tease.

wow - watching both of those videos makes me feel totally inept at driving, not sure I know when/how to shift (up/down)

not sure how fast his car is, or how good a driver he is (sure it's both fast and he's quite skilled) but I feel totally humbled just watching

I met Leh at the Club Race at Road Atlanta last week. He is a very nice guy - easy to talk to and really knows how to drive around the track. Rumor was that he was trying to break the track class record while there, but, the weather never really did cooperate during the weekend.

It was amazing to see the RSR run vs. some very competent Cup cars/drivers. In capable hands, it is an awesome machine.

he owned us all in that first race...he started at the rear of the grid (late to staging) and *** raped everyone...I at least made it one lap before he took me as well...like a great white in a pool of feeding fish!!

leh co-wrote the article in a recent edition of excellence with jared cullop, about a 7.2 rs vs a boxter spyder.
one of the best articles i've read in that it was so refreshing to see so much honesty shine through, and they were having such a great time!

I actually just went to their back issues to order it and just read that article yesterday. I know he was driving both cars very hard for being on public roads

888 are not bad per se, but not nearly as good as nitto or RA1. both have sizes for 7gt3

RE-11 is the correct answer.

At the 40 secs Riverside Go-Kart track, they produced the same lap times than fairly fresh (my last set) of Toyo R888. At Cal Speedway, they beat my best lap time on R888 by almost 1 second. At Sebring on day 1, my 245/285 x19 RE-11 were just 1.4 secs slower than my 295/345 (345 were brand new) A6 the sticky DOT compound and lighter/wider wheels.

At the SCCA ProSolo National Championship, I ran them in my first session (no much rubber laid down on the courses), they were just 2 secs slower than a brand new set of A6 285/30R18 that improve gearing in a Cayman S for ProSolo events. I ran them on skinny and staggered 235/265x19 on my heavy stock wheels, if I ran them on a square setup and 18" they would have been faster.

At a drag strip, the Fiat always spun the tires (no launch control) on R888 except for the Irwindale Speedway (good track prep). On RE-11, the Fiat hooks up off the line and produces consistent low 1.9 60ft times with a few 1.8s, and zero wheel spin.

Interesting... I never thought it would be the RE-11s.

I have RE-11 on my 19" street wheels. I ran them once or twice before on track but the tire pressures were not set correctly. It felt like they were getting too hot. I think I should give them another try

Njgt I never thought of RE11 being a track tire.... Humm... I wonder how stock 19"' 235/305 sizes would compare to my 255/315 18"'sizes?

Sharkwerks center muffler delete was a must for me - beautiful sound and doesn't affect DD. Sound is intoxicating at high RPMs in sport mode! I'm sure you'll love it!
