Giesha gets Endless Brakes
#17
In my street/track 997 GT3 I was using R29's, in my opinion they are very good, after about a year I moved to Endless ME20's in my opinion an excellent brake pad, very easy to modulate and similar in bite to the R29's and longer lasting; a few sets of these pads later, I decided to try something with some more bite, so I put N35S in my car, those I didn't like, for me it was too much bite compared to what I was used to, lots of ABS during trail braking,...I took them out after a couple of track days. I went back to ME20's, and later I tried the N03W, these I liked, they have a stronger bite but not to much, I was able to use them only a few times and them I received my Cup Car with P50's, and I going through my second set of P50's now, the cup is a totally different brake feel (Super hard pedal, No ABS), so back to square one,..
Maybe later I try some ME20's or N03S on the Cup,... Maybe somebody have tried the endless on the Cup Car, I'll chime in this topic on the Cup Car Section.

An interesting thing I notice with my Pagid RS29 Yellows compared to the stock street pads is that while street driving and/or track driving the Pagid Yellows feel mushy/softer in brake pedal feel that the stock street pads.
Do Endless pads or Performance Friction pads make the brake pedal feel harder? I'm not so sure I like the mushy soft feeling Pagids anymore.
I noticed while at the 12hr Sebring race that eventhough some teams might advertise Padgid on the car they are using other brands of pads. TRG was using Performance Friction pads for example.

For AutoX I use my stock pads...they work better cold with better bite. You have to get heat into the RS29 Pagids to get some bite and at a AutoX I find these pads can not do this as well as the street stock pads do.

I'm trying the PFC 08 Endurance pads now. Only 1 day so far, so I will have see how they wear.
The initial bite and brake is much better then Pagid 29's. Much less brake pedal pressure required and allows for better modulation. Feels great to me!
I switched away from Pagid because the loss of brake bite, not inital bite, but bite overall after 4-6 days. The pads are still 50% but they don't stop the car, it's like the material gets mushy.
The PFC are bput the same price so if they last longer better I like them.

I tried Performance Friction PFC97 back in 2008 and they really transferred heat to my calipers. My calipers were already turned a little dark red but when the PFC97 went on the calipers turn to dark purplish brown.
I'm interested in the Endless pads too. Who races them? What's Endless story?

I like the Pagid Yellows. Hadn't noticed the "mushy" feeling. Ran them on the 996 and running them on the 997. They seem to last as well. Interesting post. If there's something better, that lasts longer, certainly interested in hearing more about it.

Any feedback on staining issues with the different PFC formulas? I heard the PFC 01's dust can be a pain, if wetted and not cleaned the same day.
These GT3 brakes have me just about nuts, after realizing a swap to 350's is impossible w/o changing out the PCCB knuckles, too (narrower bolt spacing on the big reds). So, a pair of 2010 GT3 380 steels is now on the way. I'll get to a track, someday.

Anybody ever tried these?

At the price, you could buy 3 sets and still come out ahead. I was reading some other stuff about the 04 Cayenne Rotors being compatible as well. At least on the .1's.
