Default Removing Headlight Assembly

Was wondering if there is a tutorial on removing the headlight assembly? I've searched but haven't found anything.

If there isn't, are there any tips or things to watch out for when removing them?

No problem, my pleasure!

As an FYI, but I am not sure they are readily available for the 997.2 the workshop manuals on CD/DVD are a useful source of such information ... but I haven't had a set of those since my 993!

It's amazing what you will find. I found one for the 996 that was all I needed to know what to expect.

when I had my 993 I was able to use the workshop manual to show a local (Porsche) mechanic how to properly install the rear RS swaybar mounts on my car ... he had put them in backwards!!!

if you can find them, they are well worth the money, as is a copy of PET ...

PET can be legally downloaded (and usually is some months back from current updates)

Workshop manuals for older cars exist in the net for download, but doing that is illegal as you violate copyrights.
For the newer cars and since Porsche stopped circulating them in hard copies workshop manuals are hard to find.

You can still buy legal copies but they are expensive.

IMO Porsche should give the manuals together with the car to the original owner for free.
But then again when something makes money people don't usually give it for free do they? ..

last PET copy available for legal download for the 997GT3 was updated 06/02/2010;

it has some coverage of the 2010RS but not everything.

Here is the download link for US/Canada cars: http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf...SA_KATALOG.pdf
