Is the AP2 the second version of the S2K? If so I will include my S2K CR and 98 Acura Integra Type R.

Got to say the 996 GT3 cause I want to stay in its good books, even if only drove it for a few days before putting it away for the winter.

And for FUN, a GSXR 600 that I got when I sold my bigger RC51. Never thought a "small" bike could be so much fun; the first really telepathic driving experience I ever had. Yeah, I know it's not a car, but a 74, 454 Vette certainly can't compete with the Radicals and Ferraris quoted above.

^my 6gt3 was languishing in my garage for almost 4 months and that whole period it would not fire up. Finally got my lazyass to tow car to get it stripped and when it arrived I thought I tried starting it. Sure enuf it fired rt up. The thing knows when a trackday is coming soon. Mike

I almost listed X1/9, too! My first car after college, slow as molasses and about as reliable as a crack *****, but it was so nimble and had the most direct steering feel, like an old air-cooled 911.

Yes, indeed, let's hear it for the X 1/9, my first transportation, and the very definition of "momentum car." Mine left its parts in the rear view mirror on several occasions, but I would say it was marginally more reliable than a crack ***** (don't ask).

I would also amend my list to include an honorable mention category: S2000, Boxster S, Lotus Elise, Morgan Plus 8

Default Best non-DE

2003 Hyundai sub 2L 4 door. Best on road drive ever.

I visited my then fiance while deployed to the Med and during a port visit in Crete. We rented a POS car in Chania to head to the more rural areas so we could go horseback riding (her thing). The car had no power, and a 6spd and had to be driven hard just to keep up with traffic. We eventually go off the beaten path - the roads gravel and winding, one lane through the countryside and olive farms. On the way back she fell asleep, and I raced my own rally stage back to town loving every bit of it - and all at relatively low speeds.

Yeah, good story, but I was expecting a different ending. You know, with the car breaking down, and the fiancee... oh never mind.

So after re-reading... The fiancee slept through that? Well not really surprised actually, we are barely out of the driveway before mine is way gone.

Well I forgot about my first drive, a Datsun (yeah that's right, was a while ago) 240Z. Was a rust bucket by the time I got it, but still a hoot. Previous owner told me how he used to take his dates out and raise the hatch and... oh, never mind (just like previous post). True story though.
