Carrera GT - if you have not tried, you really must! On the track, relaxed rallies and twisty highways. This car howls and really epitomizes the driver connectivity Porsche has executed so well.

996.2 GT3 - this car helped me polish my driving skills and it was such a joy to drive quick. It pays when you are smooth and punishes you for mistakes. Having a 997 C4S for a bit and driving the 996.2 GT3 again made me realize how quickly my driving skills eroded.

I know the thread said 2, but I must include this,... 458 Italia. I am ANTI-Ferrari, but this car was a pleasure to drive easily and smoothly and was completely controllable on the track as well. I was disappointed by the Scuderia - I never felt comfortable with it or connected to it.

I obviously love Porsches, but my first drives in the MkV GTI and the Evo VIII were unspeakably fun! I ended up buying them after those drives. Great cars, esp. at the price.

Yes, I will be in town from the 30th to the 4th. I will set up a time with you. I really appreciate your and everyone's help with this big decision. I know I've bugged Mooty quite a few times too. Great people here with a lot of knowledge and experience. Thanks again to everyone for all of the advice.

Second, would be my 2010 Cup. It feels like a video game. So predictable and a pleasure to drive fast. Very confidence inspiring. Like nothing I've driven before. My second time driving it, turned a 1.23 at Big Willow and this past weekend, turned the 2nd fastest lap w/POC at Spring Mountain (large 3.4 mile layout) at a 2.26. Fastest was an '07 RSR w/4.0L motor at 2.23.

GYMGUY - Are you still interest in seeing my RS? I would suggest you at least see it. And honestly, I don't really care if I sell it or not. I don't mind it in my garage. So at the least, I can help you figure out what you're looking for. Cheers - G

1) 430 Scuderia: so nimble, light, tossable, power delivery, screaming sound
2) AP2 S2000: so nimble, light, tossable.

I would give 3rd place to the AP1 S2000, and there is a huge gap in fun factor with everything else I have driven beyond 3rd place.

I am new to Porsche ownership and have gone through a fair few cars.

I will be accused of being biased but my GT3 RS gen 2 is by far the most fun car I have had to date - it just brings the hooligan out of me (in a gentleman manner of course) - every time I leave where I live I get the back end out, wind down the windows to hear the engine scream in the tunnel and let rip in the basement car park..... and then there is the track - oh my!! It just makes me

I had an R35 GTR tuned, and that was just stupid fast but it was like being in a computer observing.

One jap car I do rate is the Evo 8 MR320 - that was a mental car for sure and great fun on wet country lanes in the UK

But for me, the RS is THE FUNNEST CAR EVER (possibly EVER EVER....!).

2.0 911L Rally Car
3.8 RSR (993)

Both cars had such a great feel and power to weight...outright speed isn't really the issue for me as it is relative only to the cars around you, but these were two inspiring cars on the track!

Best, by a long shot was the car I drove in the 2008 25hrs of thunderhill. E46 M3 widebody with S62 V8 Race motor, and X-Trac trans.. this car had so much Power, and was SO well balanced... it was the closest to a video game, driving has ever taken me...

and a cool video of this car:

Second would be my old 05 996 Cup. Also Very Fast, but a more "involving" drive!!
