Default TraqJunk Brake Tools for high-performance Porsches

The new track season is about to start -- now is a good time for off-season projects. TraqJunk has some great tools for brake work on GT3 (996 & 997) and other high-performance Porsches.

We also have the TraqJunk Seat Belt buckle. This goes into the stock seat belt receptacle and silences the buzzer/alarm for when you're using your track belts. $24.95

Check them all out and order securely at http://traqjunk.com

Anyone who changes their own brake pads and owns a GT3 should have these tools or they are working way to hard. The spring clip tool makes the job child's play.

I like the pad spring tool -- every tech on the planet working on Brembo brakes should have one.

Still, I think the price is wrong -- it would sell by the boatload out of every Snap-on and MAC truck at $19.95, but at $50, the price is far above the "no brainer" acceptance level.

Anyway, that's my two cents'. Again.

And I like the pad spreader -- simple and effective also. I think I might get one of those. Pads on the 911 seem to last little longer than a fill up of the gas tank ...

I'd suggest putting a standard hex drive on it as well as the T-bar so that it can be operated with a power drill.

the seat belt buckle thing... will I need 2 of them with a passenger also wearing a harness? or is it not necessary if there's no alarm for the passenger seat (GT2 seat) if I'm correct in assuming that it doesn't have an occupancy sensor?

Masmole asks if he'll need 2 of the seat belt buckles if he has a passenger using track belts.

NO -- it is sufficient to have only 1 buckle for the driver. I guess there is no occupancy sensor -- what I know is that I take passengers often in my GT3 with track belts and the buzzer is silent with 1 buckle in place for the driver.

AND BOBBYC, thanks for the order. It will go our shortly.

What do the 997 cars do when you drive without a seat belt? in the 996 you simply get a warning in the dash and you just hit OK to acknowledge it and away you go. No chimes, etc. I never tested it in my 997 as I never took that car to the track.

If there is an undefeatable chime, can your dealer turn it off via software like you can with some brands (hello liability?)?

I own a 996 GT3 -- you CANNOT silence the audible alarm if you drive the car without the seatbelt latched. It goes on forever, which is why we created the Buckle. (You can make the visual alarm on the dash go away by pressing OK, but not the audible.)

          I can't speak to the 997 models.

Perhaps the shop had disabled my audible alarm in my 996 Turbo when they did the harness install which is why I only ever had to tap "OK" and I was good to go.

          Thanks for the info!
