open car trailer size
http://www.fthr.com/bumper-pull_car-trailer/model3110/I remember a recent thread on car trailers but could not locate it in a search.
Will a GT3.2 fit on this:
Looks like its 80" wide and my GT3 book says the car is 76.9. What do you think?
featherlite 3110 car trailer

Yes the masses seem to prefer the trailex. I have owned Featherlite enclosed trailers have been happy with them. Featherlite dealer is close by and this trailer is in stock at $5,500.
Paying 7 or 8 K for a open trailer would make a enclosed trailer look good at $10-11.
Just looking for a basic quality trailer. No tire racks etc...

Yea that site has some fun stuff. All I want is a cheap open Featherlie. Towing 1.5 hours to and from the track maybe 4 times a year. Question is what size? Is a trailer deck of 80" wide enough when you are exhausted, its 100 degrees and you just had 2 beers?

PJS996GT3,
I have the same trailer (very happy with it). In your picture, it looks like the back end of the car is near the end of the trailer. How far forward is the car? Any issues with tongue weight? Thanks

I kept the box and tire rack as it is really a great addition and if I pull my car right up to just shy of the box, the whole car fits "into" the trailer -- meaning no rear bumper overhang
like this:
as far as tongue weight -- I am using a Reese dual cam WD hitch etc... and pulling it with an F150... it pulls fine and all is well. As I have no other options in terms of car placement on the trailer, I just load it how it fits and go. If I was going to buy new and add a box like this, I would have gone with the 20 foot deck.
It pulls nicely, trailer tire wear is even and it pulls level... I like to think of it as a compact track assassination package
I knew when I bought it that it would be a place holder until I got a bigger truck and get and enclosed trailer so I was okay with it not being PERFECT... but it is damn close and has been a great trailer... even powdercoated the wheels black in this off season because I was bored.

Thanks very much for the additional information. Very helpful to see the setup. I pull my 911 SC to the track now, but just acquired the GT3. I have a wench up front, but much smaller than the box you have. For sure, it will be no problem to haul the GT3.
