Default Where is the 918 RSR?

So I get to the NAIAS and I quickly looked for the Porsche display, No RSR...only current production models including the insanely overpriced 911Speedster $204000......I asked the well dressed and good looking rep about the RSR , she said it was shipped back after the media release and we are not allowed to talk about why.
I did some digging and foung out that the heavy weight 20% stake holder wanted the car for his show, so we will never get a chance to see it in person unless someone wants to take a long flight to a very small but very rich country.
Sucks for us but oh well the Volt looks promising

When the 17 percent of VW and 10 percent of Porsche demands a car for the local show, people comply.
The law of the jungle, besides why you think they call it "The 918 RSR Racing Lab. Torture Test"

I visited the 3rd day of the show and let the PCNA folks know of my disappointment. They could not have been less bothered.

Not sure about the rest of the world, but the USA is still their biggest single market. I wouldn't be too quick to forget about us yet.

It's not really the folks at PCNA. It seems it's more of a tug of war between Porsche AG and PCNA. Read the comments at the bottom of the post noted above (http://993c4s.com/cars/porsche-918-rsr/hybrid-racer-detroit-missing/). If you check out the official statement from Porsche you can read into it a bit....
