Driving GT3 as compared to Radical?

What is the min speed where aero downforce is max in the radical? I drove the Jim Russell FJR-50 and was surprised to learn that the max aero was achieved around 45mph (or something around there) - this meant that you didn't have to be going fast to generate grip/heat. Your brain will get used to the speed of a radical after 2 sessions. I wouldn't be intimidated by it at all - true racing cars are fantastic.

24 chromium, you can get 24 HC out of R6, but after 16, it's not fast and it's slippery.
i have 5 HC on slicks. only 8...
i guess they are now practice tires...
damn, that's $$$
why did you introduce me to crack again, V?

Hey, I just sold my GT3 and bought a Radical SR-3 1500. The thing is no comparison to a GT3, it's like 17s/lap faster! Plus you can get paddle shifters! It is however a different driving technique and a steep learning curve to use the downforce. You can't really compare a tube framed 1000lb race car to a 3100lb street car, however modified.

I thought downforce continued to increase indefinitely as speed increased?

Points for Radical:
Fun to drive, ready to race, Fast, engine and tranny rebulids are not expensive
Against Radical:
Steep depreciation if new, requires constant repairs and adjustments, you need track support crew to run, more frequent engine and tranny rebuilds.
While safe in a single car accident, does not mingle well with Corvettes. Very easy to damage on any off track excursion. Not a great choice for DE.

Burning Brakes
The grip and G forces generated are insane in a Radical. When I first got mine, I could not finish a 15 minute race; my neck would give out because of the G forces, so make sure you're in shape...Corner speeds are blindingly fast; more speed through the corners, more grip... Braking is eye popping..when i broke at brake maker 3 on my home track in my 993, I brake deep beyond brake marker 1...To drive these cars fast you have to get your mind around alot of what will seem unnatural at first but once you get used to it, there is nothing like it...
It will make the GT3 feel like a Sunday drive...I am thinking of getting a GT3 for the street...nuff said...
