Default GT3RS Snow Days

Pulled the RS out of the garage to shoot some images in the snow. I am so anxious to go for a drive as this wait until the spring is going to be brutal.

Love the contrast of colors, may be a shot from a longer distance to capture more of the surroundings would be captivating. Winter sleep is really getting to me too, I just want to get onto the track

I considered getting a TT just so I can take it on ski trips...but it would be so impractical. Nice work!

What a shame to have to sit until spring. I feel so bad for you that I am going to make this extremely generous offer. Send it to me in San Diego where I have a perfectly warm cuddly garage space and I will take out for a daily walk and watch after it's care and feeding. Any time you want to drive it you can come out and visit! :-)

Drive it. I have a set of snow tires on my RS and I drive it to work occasionally through the winter (though admittedly less frequently than in the summer).

I know some say the RS isn't rustproofed, but as I mentioned here, someone from PCNA told me that wasn't true. I even drove it home during a bad Chicago snow storm recently. It drove like a champ with the snow tires on it (I was more stressed about other people than me hitting something).

I bet it would be fun with some snow tires, as long as the snow isn't more than 2" deep.

Even so, I dont want to have all of the suspension hardware start to oxidize from the road salt around here so until spring, she will sit.

I have an RS for the winter time with Audi winter wheel and tire package. When the roads are bad, it makes for some incredible driving, especially when you turn off the TC……WRC driving in my B7 Audi RS4 is a ton of fun.

I drive mine through the winter (on winter tires), but avoid the days when there is snow, slush, or ice on the roads. However, if you have to drive in snow, the car actually does very well, as someone else already noted, as long as you have the right tires on it and the snow depth does not exceed the clearance under the car.
