Sorry guys, need to pick your brains again.
My old 996 GT3 was fairly "agricultural" on idle, but the 997 GT3 RS even more so - particularly noise from the input shaft when your foot is not depressing the clutch.
I'm told by my dealer that this is normal on 96 and 97 RS models (rather than a standard GT3) as it has a different flywheel? They've said it's nothing to be concerned about and a characteristic of the car. Car has only 11k miles and is still onder OPC dealer warranty.
Can anyone comfirm that this is correct?

One of the selling points, no kidding--the chattering flywheel! That's what makes the revs pick up faster.
