You think so John? I would have said the same thing a few years ago when I was trying to pick up Mandarin, but I think technology is advancing at such a fast rate (language translate on the fly, etc), that in 10 years being multilingual will be a moot point, no pun intended

not in asia, i doubt it.
if you have "accent", unlike here, you will be looked down upon. u can translate all you want, it's not the same as words come out of your mouth in the correct language and/or dialect.
