Selling the 2010 GT3 :(

Don't let it go if you can't get your price. I can understand if you need to get the Z06 out of your system, but if the 3 doesn't sell, and if you don't "have" to sell, maybe get a cheap DD and hold on to this very special car.

This is the best car I ever hope to own and have wanted one since I was younger (I am only 25) and had a 2 page spread of the 996 GT3 on the wall of my bedroom when i was probably 16 years old. I am just grateful to have been able to have one for the 5-6 months I have had it, I am a lucky SOB.

Emotion is your enemy when it comes to dumping depreciating assets and that is exactly what is in your garage.

Thanks for the shot of reality Pete, there's no denying depreciation. Only thing is this will apply to any car and the sting might be a bit pointier if the OP sells and then gets a new Merc, Caddy, or Vette, and eventually takes another hit on one of those. There's no escape.
And DD, do what you gotta do. As Savy says, don't get emotional and, from your post, you've got plenty of time to get back in.

If you are looking at a C63 and a Cadillac, you may want to try the M3. Really is a great engine (if a little too quiet on start up and below 3000 rpm), more nicely set-up for fast driving / some every now and then track use, than the Merc for sure.....
If you really want to cut back on entry price but still get a more "practical" pocket rocket ship, you may want to look at picking up a pre-loved RS4, just sensational.....

Before that I owned a C2S cabriolet, and before that an RS4, before that an E46 M3. So I want to try something different, meaning the Benz or caddy. Has to be RWD, and want to try a big dispacement motor another reason the Z06 sounds fun and it is just so fast stock! and cheap, Can get one used for 40-45k and the C63 I can get used for 45-50k. Havent found any used CTS-V coupes for sale yet and they are newer so will prob cost more than the others.
Previous rides:
sc e92 m3
RS4
09 C2S Cab

C63.....don't see how you're gonna like that much after a GT3... How about a CLK63 Black?

I like the black but its about 30-40k more and you dont really get much more...and I hear the transmission in that car is terrible, worse than the C63's. I also believe it is a 5 spd and the C's is a 7 spd.

The 3 is gorgeous of course. I think mine is the best car I've owned as well. If you must get rid of it go back to the M w/mods you had. Geeeezus, that M is nice! Yeah, I prefer the gt3, but the M3 ain't freaking bad.
As far as depreciation goes, you won't likely see much price loss in the near term. 991 C2Ss and GT3s are 18 months and 30 months out, respectively. Prices will stay flat and retain today's pricing throughout the spring imo. Sure, some overly optioned dealer cars may have some decent discounts but there are not many super clean well optioned 3s out there w/dynamic engine mounts and low miles priced @ $110,000. Yeah, there are some but not a lot.
The mounts were not available for the early builds. I am guessing that about 125 out of 540 or so don't have them.
Yes, these are oxymoronic depreciating assets but there is a small window here, so wait a bit. Your price is fair market value and the car is very nice.
