Default 2011 997 GT3RS With SharkWerks Exhaust, EVOMSit & Champion RS20 Wheels

Please welcome this lovely charcoal and bronze themed 2011 997.2 GT3RS which came into us for a few choice upgrades, including the SharkWerks exhaust for the sound department, a bit more power with the EVOMSit software and a lighter set of wheels in the form of the Champion Motorsport RS20s.

On the deck for surgery...

Off comes the bumper:

And then the heat shields:

The titanium factory center section is removed and the SharkWerks exhaust installed in its place. There is still an 8-pound weight reduction wit our part:

The factory Titanium tips can be re-used with our exhaust system:

A close-up of the light-weight single piece Champion RS20 wheel in the rear:

Bumper back on... this car came from Champion Porsche in Florida originally...

On goes the EVOMSit software calibrated for 91 octane. The sport function is still retained with both settings getting more aggressive throttle maps.

The stock interior before the addition of the Rennline pedal kit...

Now with the Rennline pedal kit:

Clear side markers are added:

Ready for a test drive...

Rear RS20 wheel:

She's still on-going and next up are the Schroth Harnesses, some track-themed suspension components, an RSS rollbar and SharkWerks FE kit. So more to come Getting her more track ready.

If anyone is interested in a set of these Champion Motorsport RS20 wheels let me know as we actually are stocking them

Wow, rarely do aftermarket wheels suit a car as well as those do. Well done!

Love the car; grey silver is very cool. I've always liked Champion wheels. They make a great product. It's nice to see these rather than those gawd awful HREs. Apologies to Sharkwerks in advance; I really dislike HRE wheels if you can't tell.

Alex: what does the remapping of the ECU actually does to the performance?

Thanks 911dev and glad you like 'em. No apology needed! I've always run the Competition or Monoblok HRE wheel successfully. I've never really done their more blingy 8/5 series stuff so I haven't kept up to date on that stuff I run away when someone says, "I need 20s...".

Hey Mo.. I'll send you a note... for which one Either way re-tuning on 91 gets about 8-10rwhp and improved throttle response (due to the E-gas) so it's something

Does anyone know the weight of the Champion RS20s compared to HRE and stock GT3 .2 wheels?

Absolutely... The champions weigh almost exactly the same as the HRE's...

Stock Wheels
29.7 for the rear
23.3 for the fronts

Champions/HRE
23 in the rear
20 in the front

Wow-that is alot of unsprung weight reduction. I didn't realize it was so much. Thank you. These will be on my list for next year along with Lithium and lightweight flywheel plus some weight reduction in the exhaust.
