Default Cheaper solution for changing '10 silver plastic for '11 black on steering wheel...

Suncoast are now selling this:

http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...10gt3_steering

which comes in '11 black finish also ... might be a cheaper way for '10 owners to update their steering wheel finish to that of the '11 (and gain steering wheel controls to boot!) ...

Don't think that belongs on a GT-3 in my opinion. Simplicity and basic.
Too much weight high in the car (that part was a funny)
Does that thing come in a 2011 GT3?

not too my knowledge, what it implies is that that component of the wheel is replaceable ... so it should be possible to obtain the 'black' part separately ...

wow thats interesting ... I wonder if its only the "thicker" wheel option that is black in the '11 ... or if you just got the last of the '10 parts!

The way I look at it is that I live with what was the period color, and do not fret about it. The black fits some interiors but not others IMHO. The silver is not so bad and it complements the silver accents on the dash.

I have a 2010 RS with the thicker wheel option and it is black. Whatever color you have, my advise is live with it!

Mark does your RS with the thicker wheel still get the yellow stripe up top?

Dunno, but it actually does match the color scheme of my gray/ white gold pretty well.

Yes and it has the black center on my '10RS.
Thicker is better unless you have very small hands.
My only 2 options are a thicker steering wheel and painted nipples.

Thicker steering wheel option reads:

"Thicker steering wheel rim in Alcantara black with cross-stitched seam". (added emphasis)

I'm pretty sure you only get the black spokes with the thicker wheel option, no matter the year of the car. I looked at a couple '11s this weekend and they all had silvery spokes.
