Michelin global launch of the new Pilot Super Sport in Dubai

Weird, when I search Tirerack based on vehicle they don't show PS2's so I bought Generals.
If I look now on size, it shows they have the OEM sized; 245/35/19 and 325/30/19??
I love PS2's..A bit expensive, but a great tire. My wife went trough 3 sets in 20K miles in her car (Heavy on front tires and 734LB torque on rear tires.) and they have some grip in dry (More then I or she needs on the street.) and they do great in monsoon rains..

TRAKCAR, I believe the issue is that the matching pair for the rears is run-flat only. So you would have regular tires on the front and run-flats on the rear. Probably not ok. And none of them are N spec, if you care.

if it is any comfort a certain bay area Porsche journalist with which we are both familar did state that in his opinion both you and mooty should have been candidates for this event ...
I guess my karmic aura was at 110% that day! either that or god's a Scotsman (which makes perfect sense, but lack of positive action to sort out/put right a lot of global nonsense suggests otherwise...)
anyway ... you would not have enjoyed being crammed in an economy seat for 15hrs as much as I did ... er ...

OK, here is my attempt to (mis?)interpret the situation based upon further discussion with "Deep Tread" my contact @ Michelin US ...
Firstly the homologation process with Porsche for N spec product will be an ongoing, and not necessarily a quick process. Clearly which sizes are tuned (N-spec), and in what order very much depends upon the needs of Porsche and the market opportunity as perceived by Michelin.
This (in part) explains the sizes initially available at the launch of the tire (detailed in the press release) but there are also additional sizes already planned for launch later that should result in a significant coverage by 2012.
It is worth noting that both the GT3 (RS) and 996 GT3 specifications are (almost) unique to Porsche, hence these tyres will only be offered homologated (N spec) and thus will be scheduled as described above.
The PS2 (especially N-spec) will continue to ship for retrofit and other OE applications until such time as the Super Sport can replace the application.
For current MPSC+ (N1) customers, that tire will remain the tyre of choice for some time to come, based upon its performance for the segment and demand from the manufacturers. The N1 tuned specification for the GT3 and particularly the RS will outperform (in the dry) an untuned Super Sport.
The MPSC+ will come up for review in the not too distant future to determine market needs, in light of the advances with tyre technologies in the Super Sport and their impact on the performance profile and gap(s) in comparison.
Therefore the MPSC+ (N1) products will continue to be the product for these cars/fitments.
In the US the Super Sport will fill the Ultra High Performance Summer "niche" and the Pilot Sport A/S as the all-season offering, everything else will be referred to as an "OE" application (PS3 etc?).
In europe this will differ according to their market requirements.
I think that all this means is that the MPSC+ and PS2 will be around for a while especially in N-spec, and it will take some time for Porsche and Michelin to homologate the Super Sport for more exotic fitments such as the back of the GT3 (RS) and the 996 GT3...
hope this helps ...
Personally while it all sounds a bit confusing and maybe a bit "premature" for us to get all excited about this tyre, I think that given my experience of it, I would still opt to install on my GT3 once my Corsas "expire" ... but if N-spec isn't available, I'd go with MPSC+ in the interim (which I had on the '07 anyway).
