They will be at Homestead on Sunday. Run there before with PCA. Its a fun track. Kind of a mini Daytona.

I've never run w this organization? Are they a good and more importantly, safe group?

I went once at Thunderhill and enjoyed it. It's a well run event - you won't feel uneasy about the safety.

The West Coast events run by HOD are super well-organized and there is a good emphasis on safety. No worries.

HOD on the left bank has a solid reputation. I'm sure the east side operations are people with the same mindset and standards.

Henry runs a good event, Limits the # of cars so the track is not crowded. I have no problem running with HOD in FL and have even instructed a few times (not my favorite gig). Be aware the advanced groups run NASCAR 3/4 and HOD is the only Group I know who runs them in HPDE on a regular basis.

HOD is my favorite group to run with on the West Coast. Very safe and well organized.

Thanks for all the info. Doesn't look like I'll be able to put this together in time though. I should have started doing my homework sooner.

Good to know they include Nascar 3/4. I've run the full course at Daytona. WOT on the banking is a thrill for sure. I've run Homestead before with the PCA and they didn't include any of the banking...

only reason i have not done Homestead...I want to run the same course as the Grand Am guys run...just like we did in Daytona.

I never knew Hooked on Driving was in Florida or that they run the Homestead Grand Am course..I have to keep an eye on Hooked on Driving events there.

Ok, I was at Homestead yesterday and the group I was in was running Nascar turns 3 & 4. It was the first time and it freaked me out! It was scary, and I felt like the car was going to skid and end up in the wall... I knew the car could take it, but it scared me for sure. I didn't want to crash the car.

I ended up going to a lower level which was running the regular circuit and all was well. Oh, and I managed to knock off 2 more seconds

The banking @ Homestead is not the same as Daytona that is for sure. The nice thing is you can do like you did and downsize a run group and eliminate the banking.

I remember the first time I went around Daytona on the NASCAR turns..WOW...I was a little un-nerving but after a few runs I was comfortable and picking up speed.

I have to do Homestead but want to do the NASCAR banks like the Rolex Series cars run.

Looking far ahead means looking through the left top corner of windshield..
Is the G force pushing me in the asphalt or in the wall??
