I say go for it if you like it. "GT3 RS" would be silly of course, but just "GT3" would look fine. Maybe matte black or something cool to offset the yellow.

Personally I like the really clean look for the regular GT3 and would keep it decal free. The RS somehow works with the decals because of the more extroverted look of the car (the colored wheels/mirrors/wing). I like the rear fender decal but the front fender one is still a bit odd to me.

EDIT: the MK1 stripe above looks nice on the 3.8!

This is what the previous owner of my car added after he bought it. I never liked decals on the GT3 even the RS. I first asked if it could be removed when I bought the car, but then I decided to keep it till I get it out of hibernation..... and will decide once more whether I keep it or not.

For some reason, I dont mind it too much.....not sure if I have latent boy-racer attributes that I wasnt aware of or whether it just looks good on the red.

I like the MK1RS like stickers, they remind me of the classic porsche and carrera lines of all porsche back to 70's..

Only the MKII got it all wrong, they would have done better wrapping the car Porsche motorsport colors of the CUP car. I might re-wrap...

I don't mind the decals; in fact, I think they look good. 2 musts though:

1. The car must be tracked for them to fit.
2. You don't "up badge" the car and look like a poser!

My 2 cents.

Thanks Peter! I could not pass the opportunity to do this to my GT3.

DepDog, vinyl graphics are easy on and off like you said. Get it done and if it is no good, take it off. You may consider making it a slight change from your car color. I don't remember what color your car is but if it is white then make the graphics off white. If black, make them matte black or something. It would then be "slightly" visible. I don't think this has been mentioned yet (and is just an idea). When I redo my clear bra I will probably redo my GT3 RX graphics in this manor. I do to a certain extent like the classic all while GT3, but for me the GT3 RX graphics idea just had to be done (being a pharmacist that owns a base GT3). Most people I run with these days know my story and get a kick out of it.

Bottom line, it is your car and we will love you either way!

Personally, I think it's posing.
Except for TeamDrugMoney's car, which is brilliant!

I went thru the same argument on my GT3 RS. I can take the sticker off (I now kinda like them) but what do you do about the big A$$ spoiler? Let your hair down a little. Put the stickers on. If you don't like them you can always take them off. All sports cars are a little boy racerish by definition. It's just a matter of degree.

It is your car...do whatever you like! I don't think putting stickers on your car makes you a poser.

Does that changes anyone's opinion or are we still going with a big fat no?

Here you go dog. A omahaGT on teamspeed did it. Looks pretty damn good. Why people remove the decals is beyond me. KInd of like ordering a Mustang GT500 and having the stripes removed.

That's a 997.1 GT3 made to look like a 997.2 GT3 RS...I personally wouldn't upbadge the car. Thats like me getting a carbon fiber hood, spoiler and GT2 RS decals for my 997.2 GT3...not a good idea in my opinion. Yes, the car looks great, I agree, but IT'S NOT a GT3 RS.
