Would the new calipers clear 18" wheels?

Wow. Hope those wheels don't move on you. I don't know how my CCW will look over the PCCB, but THAT's CLOSE. Nice job!

about clearance....
the 18" BBS barely clears steel and pccb on 997.2 cars. everyone was all nervous....
well...

i looked at my 18" ccw over 996gt3. the clearance to caliper is quite significant. but guess what, the caliper is scraped up to hell from rubber burnt off the race tires. so as long as you have 2mm clearance, wouldn't worry much about it. go look at 997 cup cars. see that clearance....

to many whiners... if you want to drive fast, stop worrying. ust drive the god damn car.
if you want to look pretty, park the thing and wax it all day.
i do both ;-)

those calipers are sexy. good job man.
now miky will have to buy a set. he can't stop his car in time to make 40% of the turns.

btw, do you have to buy stoptech pads or are there fitment from pagid and others.

Maybe we do need bigger calipers...Those look purdy!!

but PLEASE dump those bolts and goto studs.
+1 Both wheels and calipers..

I ain't nervous, I go by the "if it's good for a CUP car, it's gfood for my car" gospel..

I likey my CUP, LSD, gurney flap, front splitter, BBS 3 piece..Everytime Orbit drops a part on my car it goes a little faster. Next I'm getting gurney side flap on wheel well, front bumper like on the CUP cars, again, must be good for my car :-) There is also a sharky bypass underway.. Although some of them deserve it, I can't do CUP exhaust to my neighbours

yet.

I believe there is a standard fitment and you can choose from Pagid, Performance Friction, and Endless

There have been some questions on weights of different pieces of the kit......using my kitchen scale and bathroom scale (Sharper Image ) below is what I came up with for each piece

Front Rotor / 18 lbs 12 oz
Front Caliper / 7 lbs 14 oz
Front Mounting Bar / 10 oz
Rear Rotor / 18 lbs 12 oz
Rear Caliper / 7 lbs
Rear Mounting Bar / 7 oz

Izzone: Nice job. Thanks for posting the caliper weights - been trying to get this info from Stoptech for last six months. Setup looks trick. Like the ease of pad changes. Not sure why Porsche made this as complicated as they did.

As suspected, appears any weight savings over stock steel brakes is down to rotor weight differences.

So here's a question or two:-

Does Endless make a ceramic approved pad and do Stoptech calipers work with the OEM ceramic discs, thereby getting the best of both worlds (for those who want it).... the ceramic discs and the ease of changing rear pads?
