I ran over a nail and had to use the tire repair kit. Should I order another kit from my dealer and pay the premium or is there no difference between what I can buy at auto zone? Just wondering if the porsche gunk is any better.

Buy a Puncture Repair Spray. 2 bottles of it are even better. The oem kit is PITA and u have to use the air compressor.

 

I like the oem stuff because it stays liquid in the tire and when you dismount the tire you can just spray it away. I have used it twice, once halfway between El Centro and Yuma in the middle of the summer.

Both times the dealer threw a new bottle in the car for free. Maybe they thought it was cheaper than sending a flat bed.
