i have some of those tools and would like to get the wheel tie down. but i am not clear on how to get the strap onto it.
I imagine the idea is to feed a tie-down loop through the cross-pin and then ratchet down on the loop. I'd be concerned about impact loads and torque on the axle threads. I wonder how a CNC piece of aluminium alloy can possibly take the necessary torque or deal with the stress and load of its job. The factory nut has a steel cone for its working surface and (obviously) doesn't have to deal with any torque or leverage. Seems to me this is a tougher nut (pun, sorry) to crack (again, sorry) than might be apparent at first examination.
