I just got a mail from my tyre supplier, since I needed new fronts. He cannot get any N rated P Zero Coras because Pirelli stopped making them
They are supposed to be replaced by the Trofeo. So far for a tyre I really liked, the Cups wear even when the car is parked it seems, Corsas held up a lot better. Let's hope the Trofeo is as good all-round.
And of course it is more expensive than the Corsa...

Pirelli has to change the compound due to Euro regs on hazardous substances. All the tire companies ae changing. Trofeo meets the new specs but is more costly. Dunno abougt performance yet. Someone on here has tried them I believe. I have been told that the new N2 tires have the altered compound which is why they went from n1 or n0 to a higher number.

I have been running Trofeos on my Spyder and recently the RS. Two sets used, one in progress on Spyder, one in progress on RS. It is a great track tire, gooey and sticky when hot. You will get about 5 track days out of it. Very progressive when letting go. 50 treadwear rating.
Great for track, bad for street- stiff sidewalls and carcass. You know you are driving on a near-race tire. Ouch.
Buy a tire guage and learn to use it when tracking. Trofeos like hot temps of 31-32 psi. Higher pressures= greasy and center tread wear.
Subjectively I think the Corsa System is the best rain tire of all of them. Trofeo is better than MPSC in wet.
No Trofeo is currently N rated.

I ran 235/305 Trofeo's on 19" rims this summer. 8 track days and there is still some tread which went away much quicker running N1 MPSC's. Though they are past peak performance, were still predictable and relatively grippy last time out (at my speeds). As noted, they like pressures around 30 - 32 lbs. hot, and perform decently in the wet. I don't honestly think that they are bad on the street (the MPSC's were very noisey once the tread started to go), but I don't do a lot of highway driving with the car.
I'm going to get another set for street and wet track use (Bob Woodman or GMG can get them) but plan to run R6's on 18" wheels for the last event this year and next.

Do you think the new MPSS will come in 997 GT3 RS gen 2 sizes.
Fronts: 245/35 ZR 19
Rears: 325/30 ZR 19
It would be really good to have an alternative to the MPSC+ (which is not a bad tyre but wears our pretty quick) !
Only can hope to hear something asap.
TIA
