Hi Guys,
I'm looking to buy the following car. I'm serious, I won't waste your time, and I have the money. I want a really good, clean, lower mileage car fitting this description:
07/08 White on black GT3 (seriously, has to be white, nothing else will do)
Preferably lower than 10K miles
Must have PCCB's
Would really, really like a full leather car, but it's not the most important thing
Prefer a stock, unmolested car, but am open to tasteful modifications
Willing to part with $70K - $80K for the right vehicle. PM me if you've got what I need.
Off at the track this weekend, so if you send me a message, you won't hear back till at least Tuesday, but I'm interested in seeing what's out there. I've got my dealer friend looking for me as well, so if you're a dealer, you'll end up talking with him. If you're private selling, let me know.
Thanks in advance,
James

If you want a GT3 w/ low miles, full leather and PCCB you need to go higher than 80k for sure. People are asking around 80-90k.
If they were selling such GT3's for 70s, I would have gotten one already as well

'07s are dropping below $80K slowly, but surely.
Not a white one, but only as an example, I saw this car personally and it appears to be in good shape, but haven't seen a ECU read-out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GT3-C...item43a24000c2

Thanks guys. I appreciate the leads.
On the pricing, I've seen more than a few sales lately on cars that are very low mileage (1K - 4K miles), at Porsche dealers (mainly certified cars), with the stuff that I want for low $80's ask and selling for about $80k. If I'm going to be open to cars around 10K miles, they had better be a bit cheaper than the one's with 1K miles. Sure, the asking prices are well into the $80's and even $90's, but are the cars selling? No. Most of those cars have been for sale for a long time (some for over a year!). So, what's wrong with them? The price. It's that simple. Car's that are priced 'right' will sell.
Example (from about 3 weeks ago):
2008 White / Black GT3
1400 miles, PCCB, PCM, Adaptive seats.
At Porsche dealer on east coast, traded in for 2011, Certified.
Asking $86K, Sold $85K.
Sounds like a reasonable example to me. Don't know if I'd pay much of a premium for a car with such minimal mileage, but that seemed like a reasonable sell.
Also, the prices really seem to be a little bit higher than they were at this time last year. That's likely to evaporate in the next month, as we slide into winter. I don't think it's unreasonable to pay low $70's for a car with @ 10k miles, some will disagree, but I'm a no hassle, cash buyer for the 'right' car at the 'right' price.
I really do like the car that you have, switchcars. It's got a bunch of the tasteful modifications that I'd be likely to do anyhow. You're correct, my good friend here in Vancouver called you last week. He'll likely be calling you again soon.

This is why dealers will sit on the used inventory, they do not want to give the low mileage cars away yet for the 70-80k you desire. Economic market conditions and personal financial position will mandate who sells what for what price...wait until Jan 1 2011 for the price you want, more will be available closer to that price point.....

I recently bought a private seller's car in your price range - white on black, full leather, chrono, graphite sills and trim, nav, plus OEM RS wing, clear bra, <8k miles, 9 months of original warranty left and perfect PPI done by a neutral Porsche dealer.
The deals are out there, be patient. The other posters are probably right about asking prices, but many are sitting unsold...

Finally gave in? Best of luck James. Your target price seems reasonable based on what I've seen.
