Larry!!! Hope I didn't dent and bend those new suspension pieces of yours too badly! Are they keeping the car straight?

If you track it with any regularity, then yes, you'll want to keep it in mind. As I said in one of my postings on the topic, I've not had any problems so far, with 10 track days on the car. I'm going to the Cup cables because I've already got the center console out (a sizeable amount of the labor in order to install the new shift cable). Plus, I'm mainly only tracking the car nowadays. It's a pre-emptive strike on my part.

Remember, it does get a good bit louder in the cabin with these Cup shifter cables!

Larry without the LWFW the noise from cup cables is not such an issue.

He's right Larry -- get the flywheel! : )
(Or skip it and get one of the $119K RS's that are said to be out there.)

wont do the flywheel until the car exits warranty...

still pondering an RS ... but waiting until the potential acquistions have languished on their respective lots for another 2-3 months ... not seeing the 10k discount on a 150k car ... best so far was 7k on a 158k car...

and not relishing the 30% depreciation on the mex car...

Really? Cool I wasn't looking forward to more noise on the drive to Thunderhill.

I drove Mikymu's car and, yes... his is stripped - but his is also damn loud. I would assume he's got a LWFW. He's got everything for that car!

Just get it over with, you know it will happen.

30%?? That does not sound right..Your blinged out smurf blue is worth some good $$. Don't trade it in.
Get a nice RS for $115-125K...

Lar yes Mike's RS=LWFW plus a million other things.. : )

It seems that the cup cables, by eliminating any dampening between the gearbox and the interior of the car and shifter assembly, seem to tune up well with the frequencies of the chattering of the lightweight flywheel and intensify it.
On a 6GT3 with cup cables but a dual mass FW, cabin noise was present but down 80%, and without the distinctive LWFW noise.
But as I said in another post, I am partially deaf from loud exhaust exposure so, don't take this for granted as what I find acceptable concerning sounds in cars, is known to drive other people near murder. : )

I'm not exactly deaf, but I've attended waaaay too many rock concerts while standing in front of the speakers in my lifetime. I've got tinnitus in my right ear - very annoying! Some loud noises are physically painful for me, so I'm actually much more sensitive to sound now than I ever was.
