The warrenty was honored by PCNA, the repair was done at a dealer that I have purchased no vehicles from...they did check for abuse and found none so they took it apart and contacted the regional rep to examine it and determined it was a faulty spring...the cost was $7800 and PCNA absorbed it.

Default updated information ??????

Anyone else having these problems with their RS 2 gen? I have been thru 2 pressure plates and on the third - all in less than 2 sessions and less than 10 laps total. Even more troubling, as I was going only 6/10ths speed when they failed. Seems to fail under hard braking and downshifts.

Any similar failures with gen 2 GT3s? I am suspcisious as to how the hydraulic engine mounts work in conjunction with the ECU and vibrations caused through the drivetrain under hard barking and downshifts. There were no apparent issues with gen 1 or cups as to these sorts of failures.....

That sounds terrible.

I am monitoring mine and so far it's holding up but since I have already destroyed an RSR PP I am worried.

If it fails I will try the completely new PP from the 4L RS
part number 997 116 027 91

which is combined in the 4L with the clutch from the GT2RS.

Slow, after losing your way you are back on the right path with the avaters

Good to know there is an upgrade available.
11K miles, no problems yet. Then again, I shift in slow motion, so that might help.

I actually had an older PP installed 996 part#. Porsche did change the PP for 10 and up. the older one has different securing screws which I was told they rarely fail...worked well when I drove it, dealer still has possession of the car for small trim patrs..going on 4 monthes now.
