Default 2007 GT3 Price

Wife and I stopped by the Peachstate PCA Concour event today at a local P-car dealer. They have an '07 on the lot with 40K @ $76/M. Car was treated well from the appearance. I was drooling, she said go ahead if I want, trade the 987 since the GT3 is my dream. It has a sunroof, which is her primary concern. Does the price sound reasonable? Just dreaming but if they offered me enough for the 987 who knows??? The 987 is an '06 with 8/K on the odo.

I guess its this one you are referring to:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...t_11755wt_1167

Its overpriced for the mileage, regardless of the CPO, IMO... CPO is nice, but I'd say $60K tops... 40k miles, compared to what else is out there(30k miles less for the same money), is a lot of miles. Not a bad thing, but should be priced accordingly...

Here are 2 silver ones at the same price, with some upgrades, and with 30K miles less:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Bi-Xe...t_16139wt_1167

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...ht_9032wt_1167

Here is a white one with only 5k miles with an asking price of $82K:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...ht_3548wt_1167

Im sure any of those alternatives I posted will easily take $5-6K less than their asking price...
That was just in 1 quick look. If you look further into autotrader or cars.com, Im sure you'll find an even better deal; so no, the price for the car you are looking at is not reasonable....

Thanks for the replies. Agreed, the mileage has me rethinking. The attraction is the dealer, that's where the 987 came from.

+1 mid 70's for a 40k mi car is nuts ... you can find examples with circa 5-10k for that ...

You have never been to Hennessy then huh?
This is where the best Service advisor and Service Manager are and they both came from Jim Ellis.....sorry I could not restrain myself. Once you come here there is no other PCar dealer in Atlanta that touches this level of customer service and satisfaction.

Anyway the car you are looking at has too many miles. You can find much lower mileage cars with CPO for around the same money.....more importantly get the GT3 you will never look back. Do it now, especially since your wife has blessed it...we know how often they can change their minds....

When we were shopping for the Boxster back in 2006 we stopped by the Roswell dealer but no one was interested in helping us....guess we looked too shabby in our jeans and sweat shirts and we were driving our 1985 318I (not a trade). We left there, drove over to Chamblee. They put us out in a demo, we came back, picked out the color we wanted, gave 'em a check and drove the car home.

Do appreciate the advice, agreed the mileage is too high. There's no hurry cuz she's cool, wouldn't have said it if she might change her mind!

That car has a great photo spread and service history, but +1. They need to move on the price. They will knock off only ~4.5k, AFAIK.

I actually think that car is worth it, but the top-down pressure of much lower miles GT3's is where the low hanging fruit is, right now. Folks are right. That ask will get you one with half those miles, or less.

that cars is one of the highest mileage '07s I have seen ... would be interesting to know what he paid for it in trade-in ...

I'd go for another lower mileage car at the same price ...

or if you love this one, offer him a fair price ... if he doesnt bite ... go back in 2 months time when he still has the car and try again ...

seriously this car will not move at anywhere near that price unless the dealer gets lucky and someone who has not done their homework walks in with a fat check ... no one in their right mind is going to pay the same for a car with 4x to 8x the miles on it as they could elsewhere.

From the appearance of the car my guess it was a DD/lease car, milege fits for a 4 year lease. The interest on my part would only be "if" they offered me a good price for the Boxster (dream on). Think I will keep looking and resolve myself to selling the 987 privately.

good guess I think ... you would be better off selling privately, but honestly I got bored trying to sell my '07 privately and eventually traded it in ... incidentally it is the car in mt avatar, 5k miles, PCCB etc ... traded for 78k.

keeping looking there are much better deals out there than this one.
