Thats whats I've been working on. Just spoke with them again. Should have a confirmation tonight, wether the list on page 1 is all that is needed or if anything else needs to be added. I'll let you guys know.
According to the part prices (listed in page 1), price can be estimated to be $1352, if not additional parts are needed...
Lets start making an unofficial list of those interested for now:
1. GT3
2. DJN?
3. DD GT3 RD?
4. TRAKCAR?
5. brim
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.
(copy/paste/add your name/I'll update it in the OP)

I just broke them loose today after a track weekend, not a big deal.
Just have someone sit in the car 5 minutes per side to change out wheels.
If I would start fresh and there would be a +/- $1000.00 conversion I might do that, same price as all the specialty tools you need and more choice of wheels and maybe peace of mind long term.
Now that I am invested with tools and 2 sets of track BBS I am OK with it.

The new requirement to thinly grease the conic surfaces (of the nut and the wheel) would change the torque spec -- and explains the higher torque spec number -- the binding force on the threads would be much the same.
Just keep everything clean and dry (of water) and keep the dust caps on.

Just for the fun of it I checked the parts lists and it seems that:
Apart from the obvious 5l wheels and lugs and maybe spacers you need
Rear axle :
wheel carriers are same and you only need 2x wheel hubs from the 2008gt3 997 331 606 00
everything else is same angular bearing, carrier lid, bolt etc.
Front axle :
the wheel hub has a different number and also the tension bolt is different but maybe they can be used.
Surely again you need 2x wheel hub 997 341 60 501 from the 2008gt3 and 2x wheel carrier lids 996 341 661 90 again from the 2008gt3.
Could it be that easy? Or I am missing something.
Interesting.

1 997-341-157-93 AS WHEEL CARR (front driver side) 1
2 997-341-158-93 AS WHEEL CARR (front passenger side) 1
3 996-341-131-04 TENSION FLANG 2
4 997-341-661-90 LID 2
5 997-341-605-01 WHEEL HUB (front) 2
6 997-331-605-00 WHEEL HUB (rear) 2
Im sure they are right, but can else anyone confirm if:
1 997-341-157-93 AS WHEEL CARR(front driver side) 1
2 997-341-158-93 AS WHEEL CARR (front passenger side) 1
are actually needed?
The Mk2 front wheel carriers are the same number as above but end in 95 as in:
997 341 157 95
997 341 158 95
I dont see that anywhere in here:
http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...-08/401-05.php
or here:
http://www.porschediscountparts.com/...997_Parts.html
The rear wheel carriers are the same in both (997.1 and 997.2 GT3), no need to replace them. Any idea why the front might have changed? I know Porsche labels new gen cars parts with new numbers, sometimes, but they are actually the same exact old gen part... so

Ummm.... why is that? Please explain.
I just don't understand why the torque jumps like 70 units, or roughly 20% of the original requirement due to it being greased.

I understand the new procedures/tools/etc. to change the center-lock wheels, to me it really is no big deal once we get used it.
We buy the GT3 because we want a street version of the race technologies, and we roll-back already just because a little extra effort of changing some wheels?
It is not that if we convert the center-lock back to 5-bolt will elminiate all the work... I still have to loose & tighten & torque 20 nuts instead of 4, everytime!

Thanks John.
If no (front) wheel carriers are needed, then its:

6 997-331-605-00 WHEEL HUB 2 2 307.67 $615.34
Total: $1267.52
If (front) wheel carriers and tension flang, really are needed, then its:

If the front wheel carriers are needed (together with their tension flang each) then maybe it can't be done at all without other expenses beacuse the wheel carriers have other parts that go around them and the 2010 parts don't fit the 2008 carriers (wishbones control arms etc).
My guess is that you don't need to change them at all.
