Old guy, I periodically date a trademark and copyright attorney and I'll see if I can get her to weigh in on whether you have much to worry about or not using an image like John's. I did have her shoot down a Porsche related Iphone app I was interested in developing, saying that Porsche were one of the most aggressive protectors of their trademarks in the world. The planet-9 guys can attest to that, I'm sure. I'll let you know when I know more.

Porsche owns the script Porsche insignia, the name of the company, the Porsche crest, Carrera, Targa and the "silhouette" of a 911. I think that is it, maybe someone else knows more? What's funny is they actually don't own the rights to things like "911" or "RS" because they are generic. And they most certainly don't own any numbers with a "0" in the middle like 901 (old guy Porsche joke).

Porsche is very vigilant is protecting copyrights, and even more vigilant about scaring you off if you even get close since that is the easiest way to keep the marks intact. If you had the nerve to push the issue they would have a problem with all kinds of stuff they try to protect.

I dont think so, if anyone does its the FIA ... but Porsche would (sadly) own "GT3" in the Porsche font/script ...

Yea I found out with the hats they own the font.
Batty I really like that kind of help.
Slow since Porsche owns the 911 silhouette, your beautiful pencil is
out I think. Thats why I need to use something like what I drew or
something along those lines.

To the rest of the shirt guys, this will take a while. I have to get a setup and make the art
the buy a GOOD Tshirt. I wont settle for a POC shirt. Either long sleeve or Short.
AND I will look at a Polo

its a shame because ideally using the font or a similar branded image would be ideal ..

I wonder how Stand21 got away with it over the GT3RS boot they made a while back?
