I read the thread on TPM which was predictable but I did not know there is a version 2 now. I have a set of sensors from my 997.1 GT3 that I was going to use in my 997.2 GT3 RS. will this even work or do I need to purchase a new set of version 2's?

P/N's for the two different versions so i can verify?

Part numbers for version 2 sensors are:

433Hz sensor: 997.606.021.20
315Hz sensor: 997.606.023.20

If your ver1 sensors are the same frequency as those that came with your RS, give it a go... they may work... Part numbers on Ver1 sensors are different so you won't be able to work it out that way.

thanks. hoping the frequencies are written on the sensors themselves? they are still mounted on wheels/tires at the moment.

I think they are shown on the sensors... If your Ver1 sensors are off the wheels, check the sensor housings. With the sensors in your current RS wheels, get your dealer to check via your VIN number... They record the frequency fitted with your car's spec. Hope this helps...
