Default 997.1 GT3 ECU map

Question: does Porsche flash different maps on US-bound GT3s compared to European GT3s ?
Or do they have a specific map for US cars, compatible with the 91 (RON+MON)/2 juice that can be found in most gas stations ?
Or does the european map (RON 98 optimized) adapt to US gas using the anti-knock system ?

I am getting to wonder whether my US-delivered car has "re-adapted" to Euro RON 98 gas ? Should I worry about reflashing it, and if yes, to what ?
Is the difference negligible anyway ?

YES different DME map for US cars vs RoW cars. If you use PIWIS tester to upgrade motronic you are asked to choose version but then you have to back it up with VIN number to get codes from Porsche.
In case of changing continents maybe it can be done ask your dealer.

If it has to do with fueling I m sure it does will it hurt the car if you don’t upgrade I m sure it won’t.

I took my '04 996.2 GT3 to the UK for a year and ran it on 98 with no ill effects in either direction ... without adaptation ...

Thanks. I am not worried about negative side effects of running a US map on RON 98 euro fuel. I just suspect that the US map is more conservative, and therefore that I must be leaving some torque and power on the table (or wasting money filling up with 98 instead of 95). Probably not perceivable ?

FYI...Majority of U.S. uses 93 octane (equivalent of 98RON). California, Arizona, and a few others are stuck with 91 (your 95). Many parts of the U.S. have access to Sunoco 100-your 103/104. As to maps and potential danger to engine, ECU will recognize an octane drop or rise. Won't respond to a rise above its base, but will adjust to temporary drop.

This is also my understanding.
