epoxy and paint is good, for a while.
stained concrete is $ but the way to go.

Great suggestions and photos - I need to look into the cost of polishing the concrete, that looks amazing.

To be clear I was talking about urethane cement not urethane. Urethane cement floors are about as tough as it gets as far as fluid applied flooring goes. Stained concrete isn't bad but it's not very chemical resistant and won't last forever.
Even an epoxy floor is superior to stained concrete but a lot of people have had bad experiences with it due to poor prep or using cheap products like you get at home depot.

Wow that polished floor looks exquisite!
I went with 8x8 Porcelain tile and don't regret it all.
Easy to keep clean and extremely durable - good for life IMO.

I built my house in 2003, designed specifically with 3 car garage up and 4 car in the basement.
I researched everything, from the cheap looking clickety-clack plastic cover to epoxy (EVERY neighbor had hot-tire lifting issues within one year). Ended up using Concrete Resufacing; they did the clubhouse pool in our neighborhood and figured if it could stand up to Atlanta summers and a thousand kids it would be good enough for my basement.
Nine years later and it still looks great...NO issues whatsoever. Never any hot tire lifting or deformation. Most people think it is tile due to the "grout" lines but surface is totally flat and very easy to clean. Did the upstairs (traditional, non heated/cooled) garage as well. Very happy.

I have Stained Concrete in my basement Man Cave. Looks great and is very, very durable.
Epoxy in my garage. Very durable as well..
If it is Dual purpose (live&garage) I'd say stained concrete as it is better looking IMO.

I apologize, Jimmy, if I digress this thread little.
In my one experience pulling a car into a ceramic (glazed) tiled garage during the rain, stopping was a little more exciting than I expected.
What are each of these like in a similar situation?
