Question R6 track tire pressure

Tomorrow's my first day running R6 Hoosiers (245/40-18F and 315/30-18 R) on my GT3.

Previously run Sport Cups and just wanted to try something different.

I'm just wondering what tire pressure you guys start with cold, and aim for when hot on R6 tires.

Thanks!

ps Yes I did the "search" thing.... but came up with nothing conclusive...or current.

I start driver side 23R/24F and passenger side 24R/25F. Try to land between 36-38 hot, but always seem to come off track at 40 and have to bleed a couple lbs off first session or two.

Start with 30 all the way around for a few laps. Bleed down to ~38. Make sure you bleed after a hot lap, and not cool down.

Around 28 cold, bleed down to 38 hot after each session. Cold starting temp depends on the ambient temperature at the track. No harm done if you go a few pounds over 38, just your traction will fall off a bit.

You will really enjoy the Hoosiers after tracking the diabolical sport cups!

When in doubt read the Hoosier tire pressure recommendations...

Front 36-38, rear 38 hot pressures both. Start 6 lbs less and bleed down. Start too low pressure and the tires may rotate on the rim. You will enjoy them.

36-38 front and/or rear, depending on feel that day.
i start at 24psi, 6/10 first lap, then i'll have enough heat to not have tires rotate on rim. usually by lap two i go full bore. car is 996gt3

I used 36F/38R as my hot targets and the Hoosiers were great......

especially after Bruce Gregory drove my car and showed me just how much momentum and lateral force warm Hoosiers could support in corners.... sweet!!

PP: You're running 18" Forgelines, correct? FWIW, I'm looking to run 19"; not that it probably matters for this discussion.

That's because you brake so late and hard! Where have you been? Coming to NJMP this weekend for the Club Race?
