Just to throw a nit in the mix, the spread between RON and MON is known as sensitivity and is not a constant. For some blends (all gasolines are blends from the various processing units in a refinery), the sensitivity is 10 and a gasoline might test 88 on the MON test and 98 on RON test. A different blend may test 89 and 97. Both are sold as 93 premium. It all depends on the refinery configuration and size of the units. dave

Great info guys, thanks. I am buying a drum of 100 GT Unleaded to keep and use in the car, by far the most stable, least corrosive to the system and best performing choice that is worth the aggravation. I really appreciate the insights...
