From the order sheet:
Linear Gearing (Like cup car).
And that's the way it was described to up from the factory (closer gears, non overdrive sixth)...basically their way of saying it has closer ratios than stock. We ordered it on Jackys car and on this one. Unfortunately none of the order information has the exact ratios...

I really like some of the RUF cars, I had the privilege of owning a 993 with with some RUF mods and also had the chance to talk with Alois.
But I suggest you talk with them about the gearbox before listing the info about linear ratios. The RGT unless ordered otherwise had the regular GT3 gearbox with the addition of a short shifter. Gearbox was not opened and didn't even include a shorter R&P.
The car is so nicely made and has a lot of interesting modifications that it doesn't require a boost in the specs with words like CUP STYLE linear gearing, besides 997 cups had gearing to choose from and I don't think one of them gave a top speed of 315.
I suspect that its a mistake due to translation of the specs.

John-
I'm quoting directly from the spec sheet sent to us by RUF. "Linear Gearing" was noted as an ordered option on the car and is noted as "cup style" in the order specs.

Guy's, we as Porsche enthusiasts know what we are looking at despite it's price... RUF cars are special in every way, I have had my RUF R-GT2 for over 3 years, and not one car along the lines have I ever loved so much that I planned to keep it forever, and this ones it
I had the pleasure of sharing the track with another RGT (996 variant) and it's an awesome car..
Best of luck with the sale!

What a dream car!
Not sure about the color and for $200K I am not sure where it fits in between a new GT3RS and a new GT2RS. But those will never have the inegrated roll bar and Ruf Vin.
At even money to a new GT3RS, I doubt I could walk away from a Ruf..
