Default What's the deal with HPDE insurance

Anyone know why HPDE program bases quotes on value of car but only insure up to $100k. The quick quote for an RS with $145k value is $939 while the quote for $100k value is $651. Why request for a value above $100k if they're not going to cover?

BTW, I did go with insurance for LRP event and much as it hurt I'm glad that I did. It can get a bit zooey out there. Thanks to everyone that chimed in on this question.

I think they reserve the right to make exceptions to this, at least for the season long policy. WSIB will do the full value and it is a linear cost of the binder to value ratio with a high deductible.

Is that per event or a season long price? Who is it with?
